I had an accidentally blown a fuse when I installed my new thermostat. I called several companies telling me they couldn't get out there tonight or I needed property ownership documentation I was like thank you I'll call somebody else well I called mid Florida and they were wonderful very professional they sent Josh out within a 2-hour time frame he came within an hour he was very polite very knowledgeable and he showed me where I could find the fuse he showed me the blown fuse he explained everything to me in great detail he was very professional he was very nice I'm very very happy he had me up and running in 30 minutes. I will be using MidFlorida for all my HVAC needs in the future.

We got home from the Gator game Saturday night to find the house at 83 degrees and no AC. Mid-Fla was the only company that answered the phone and was able to send a tech, as it was after 9pm. Parker quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue and we could sleep in a cool home!

Updated to 4 stars- after trouble with receiving maintenance the next day a gentleman from the management team reached out to make things right. He listenedintently to my concerns and put my mind at ease about receiving future service. I could see this becoming a five star review after another interaction with this company based on the care that the management team had for making things right with me. I feel that it is important to be transparent about what did happen with my initial experience below but want to reiterate that my perception of the company is much more positive after being contacted by Logan in management.The problematic experience: The first tech was very professional and nice, yet did something that caused the AC unit to shut off for the rest of the day. He came back later that evening, and we hoped the issue was fixed but instead water started leaking inside because the condensation line was in some way blocked. The tech had not done anything to address that during his second visit. I had trouble getting a tech out in a timely manner to fix this due in part to the office staff. I followed up and a tech was sent to fully fix the problem. Later was contacted by management and reassured that this would be addressed and that the office staff would receive coaching.

The technician was very polite seemed like he was very knowledgeable, he showed me what he thought was the problem and That it should be corrected as soon as possible. The cost to correct the problem would cost me $349. I told him I didn’t have the funds at this time but I will get back to them. In the meantime, I contacted my warranty company and had somebody come out and check the problem. The cost for the warranty company to come out was $85. That technician told me that there wasn’t a problem. He showed me exactly what I showed him on the picture that I had taken when the other technician was here and told him what the technician said to me. so I had to have the warranty company come out because that’s what I paid them for, but I only had them come out for no reason according to him and I had to pay him $85 to tell me that there is nothing wrong. I feel that the Mid Florida Heating & air conditioning company should reimburse me for that $85 that I had to spend for no reason.

Update 2: As expected, Anthony, who was just put in charge in Melbourne, went above and beyond to correct the issues and kept me updated along the way. The same great service I came to expect from him and the Extreme team for many years. I now have a fully functioning quality system that works as expected. I’m leaving the below to show the problems but updating the review as I’m confident it’s simply growing pains with the new company structure. With the recent changes locally I’m sure they’ll be back to the traditional service we’ve come to expect.Update 1: Spoke to Anthony who serviced my AC for years with Extreme and he's working to get everything sorted. I'm confident he will, and I will update accordingly.Shortened due to length:After 10+ years as an Extreme Air customer, I had to replace my 14-year-old AH on August 1st. Mid Florida quickly diagnosed the old system but suggested system replacement due to high repair costs.I had concerns about using my existing filter with the new system, which was a different brand, and about the quality of the installation. I was assured that the filter would work and that the installation would be done correctly. I was told the installers would arrive between 9-10am the next day, but they arrived in the afternoon instead.While the installers were professional, they lacked familiarity with the system that was new to them, needing assistance from other techs. The system's performance was within their acceptable limits, but not optimal. The air filter was not connected as promised, and it was unclear how to fix this issue. I was assured the office would follow up, but no one contacted me.Additionally, the installation had other issues that weren’t initially seen. The air handler was not tightly sealed, leading to excessive sweating and pooling water on the deck. There were also gaps around the base, allowing smoke to be drawn in, indicating poor installation.I have reached out multiple times but have yet to receive a response.

This could have been a one-star review. Mid-FL installed a new Traine a.c. system in our home which wasn't functioning well from the beginning. It didn't cool well and didn't pull down the house humidity at all. I called Mid-FL, and they sent out Jim the very next day. Jim was great. A very knowledgeable and capable trouble shooter. He didn't stop when he found one issue, but checked out the entire system, finding three issues from the initial installation that he quickly fixed. Now, the system works great.
